The Digital Power Of the Blog

2004 marked a very important milestone in my life. A friend told me to start my blog. During that time, I thought blogging is only confined to geeks and nerds. I remember giving it a boo sign and promising myself to never create a blog. Since I had the impression that it is just like an online diary, I was hesitant to create one. I never wanted to broadcast how I live my pathetic life or how disorganized I am with my stuff or how roaches attack my not-so-clean room. I thought it was just a waste of time and effort and maybe I needed some digital business cards.
One unfortunate day came that made me so furious with everyone else. The only thing I could remember during that very moment was I want a release of fury. I suddenly opened my laptop and wrote every single thing I have in mind, cuss included. I then created a blog and posted it. I was able to preview my post and it gave me a weird feeling of content and satisfaction. It’s like all the stress I was bearing has been transferred to my screen. Few weeks came fast and I found myself blogging practically about everything including irrelevant insignificant people in my life.
Blogging became an annex of my daily life. I gained friends online who regularly visited my blog. I was able to realize that blogging is not a hangout or an escape for online losers. Blogging is actually a creative portal where you submit yourself and your thoughts and make them translate as a powerful tool to create your online existence. It is not a cheesy medium where you post all the cutesy stuff about Hello Kitty. It is more like a representation of your mental side to the world.
Try blogging and embrace a unique form of satisfaction like no other.
